Your cat fights automatically
Idle Cat Gunner, also shown as IdleCatGunner, is an idle adventure. Your cat moves, finds targets and attacks automatically. You manage upgrades and equipment instead of holding movement keys or repeatedly clicking enemies. Let the first battle run long enough to see your coin balance and the buttons at the bottom of the game.
The screenshot is from the playable game. Your stage, currency and menu labels may differ. Website language and in-game language are separate; changing this article’s language does not change the running game.
Make a first coin upgrade
- Find the attack, attack speed and coin earnings buttons along the bottom.
- Compare the displayed upgrade cost with your available coins. A button that cannot be purchased needs more coins; it is not necessarily a broken control.
- Buy one affordable upgrade, return your attention to the battle, and check the displayed attribute and remaining balance.
- Let the cat keep fighting if you need more coins before the next purchase.
Try one change at a time so you can see its effect. This guide does not prescribe a fixed upgrade order or promise a particular stage clear: prices, equipment and progress affect what is useful in your current run.
Equip a weapon before reorganizing everything
Open the weapons menu, identify the equipment area and the inventory, then drag an available gun toward an equipment slot. Check the result after releasing it. To merge, you need two weapons of the same level; an empty inventory cannot demonstrate a merge.
The equipment and merging guide includes a numbered screenshot and dragging checks. Start with a single equip or merge attempt so you can follow what changed.
Use the website sound and fullscreen controls
The speaker button below the game controls the game’s sound. Wait for the game to finish loading before using it. If the browser has not started audio, click inside the game once and then restore sound with the speaker button. Also check whether the browser tab or your device is muted.
Fullscreen gives the portrait game more room without changing its controls. Use the fullscreen exit control to return. On a phone, dragging works with touch; keep the weapon and target visible while you release your finger.
Keep your progress in the same browser
Use catgunner.games in the same browser and browser profile when you return. Favorites provide a shortcut to the game; they do not create a backup of coins, weapons or stages. Account-based cloud saves are not available.
Read the browser save guide before clearing site data or switching devices. Avoid private browsing when you want progress to remain after closing the window.
If the first launch or a control does not work
The first launch downloads game resources. Watch the loading indicator and keep the connection available. If a loading error appears, try “Reload game” on the play page. Do not clear website data as your first troubleshooting step, because that can remove local progress.
For a failed weapon drag, return to the weapons screen and check the target and levels before trying again. Keep a single play tab open to avoid running multiple game instances. If the issue continues, contact CatGunner with the page address, device, browser and steps that caused it; do not send your full browser data.
